Subversion checksum mismatch while updating

A simpler solution suggested was to check out a clean copy of your files, and then copy over all your changed files from the problem copy to your new copy. This was also painful for me because I had changes all over my working copy, and not just in the problem directory. I have setup a new repository on a Windows 2000 workstation using ver 1.2.3. I am able to import files to the repository without problems but when I try to do a checkout from another Win2K workstation using svn, I get a checksum mismatch error message. The odd thing is that it happens on random files and happens every time I try to checkout.--------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [hidden email] For additional commands, e-mail: [hidden email] try to checkout. I do not know what was causing this in Tortoise SVN. ----Original Message Follows---- From: Andy Levy To: [hidden email] Subject: Re: Checksum mismatch on checkout Date: Wed, -0500 MIME-Version: 1.0 Received: from ([64.125.133.100]) by mc10-f24.with Microsoft SMTPSVC(6.0.3790.211); Wed, -0800 Received: (qmail 18697 invoked by uid 5000); -0000 Received: (qmail 18681 invoked from network); -0000 X-Message-Info: JGTYo YF78j EHj Jx36Oi8 Z3Tmmk SEd Ptfp LB7P/yb N8= Mailing-List: contact [hidden email]; run by ezmlm Precedence: bulk X-No-Archive: yes list-help: Delivered-To: mailing list [hidden email] Domain Key-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; q=dns; c=nofws; s=beta; d=gmail.com; h=received:message-id:date:from:to:subject:in-reply-to:mime-version:content-type:content-transfer-encoding:content-disposition:references; b=q42TRr NDVQW8qaqm Hy Z/5p UYe Mwjc ONUqn U7Be GQ0an6g6DYEy FO3FCb Q002e Arie GR6VBb2FBWmwk URa97a5q Vjz Ppnh Punu Uacr L0a Gttj Ko RRC8O12GCNEFUA3/g5qs XFmqiak KAvnix H5Hri SQVm60ls CLS9L6P56sh2so= References: Ultimately, it always fails on this one WAR (like JAR) file.I've blown away my working copy of the repo and re-checked out and the problem goes away for a while and then returns. Another thing was that when I run the check out, it would have a checksum mismatch for one file and it would discontinue the check out. ----Original Message Follows---- From: John Szakmeister Subject: Re: Checksum mismatch on checkout Date: Wed, -0500 MIME-Version: 1.0 Received: from ([64.125.133.100]) by mc10-f13.with Microsoft SMTPSVC(6.0.3790.211); Wed, -0800 Received: (qmail 29805 invoked by uid 5000); -0000 Received: (qmail 29769 invoked from network); -0000 X-Message-Info: JGTYo YF78j EHj Jx36Oi8 Z3Tmmk SEd Ptfp LB7P/yb N8= Mailing-List: contact [hidden email]; run by ezmlm Precedence: bulk X-No-Archive: yes list-help: Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I got hit with the subversion checksum mismatch error again today.

I had faced this problem couple of weeks ago, but just checked out a new copy to avoid fixing the problem at that time. I saw two variations:svn: Checksum mismatch for 'aaa'; expected: 'xxxxx', actual: 'yyy'And: Checksum mismatch while updating I did few searches, and found that people had fairly complex set of steps to fix this.

That is exactly the error that checksum check is designed to catch. I do not see anything remarkable in changelog for later versions of 1.6.x [1], albeit the following one fixed in 1.6.17: * fix datastream corruption during resumed transfer in ra_serf (r1154733) What HTTP library you are using in your configuration?
